Pilsen Cup 2018 – Day 2 Summary Second day of Pilsen Cup offered another bunch of interesting stuff. There was a record-breaking amount of ten games to be played and lots of action to watch. Spišská Belá remained unbeaten in Under-15s as well as the West Coast Express in Under-17s. All of the matches seen tough battles but nothing will be settled until Sunday.

Under-15s

One who is making their way throughout the tournament a piece of cake so far is Spišská Belá. They are guaranteed with a final after Saturday and they are about to face the hosts in it. It’s only ironical that both teams are yet to meet each other in the morning as the round robin phase wraps up.

On the other side, both opponents for bronze medal game are still to be decided. Apart from last Weiden, it’s all really open for now and only the morning games are going to decide who finishes 3rd and 4th after group stage. It’ll be either West Coast Express, Czechs U14 or Belpa from Switzerland.

Under-17s

The Canadian West Coast Express proves their quality so far with three wins and a final game spot in their pocket. They don’t only score lots of goals but they also show a good amount of emotions during their games. Raman leads the side offensively as he keeps scoring like there is no tomorrow.

It is sure now that it will be either the Express or Slovak side Gajary Flames who will be this year’s winner. Third place will be decided in a rematch between Pilsen and Weiden after the hosts destroyed their opponent 9-0 earlier on Saturday.

This year´s Pilsen Cup is over! It saw West Coast Express´ triumph in under-17s while Spišská Belá took gold among under-15s with a win over hosts HBC Plzeň. Their older clubmates finished 3rd after Sunday playoffs.
