Bronze To Switzerland, No Hesitation From Oberwil

Oberwil wanted the bronze and started well. Patrik Döbeli’s deflection gave them an early lead, but Kovo equalised just a minute later with Kapusta’s attempt. However, then it was all Oberwil. The Swiss scored again before the horn, then four times in the second and increased to 7-1 early in the third.

Kovo fought back, but one answered goal and two more in the final five minutes were not enough to make a drama. Oberwil won 8-4 and seized the Bronze for themselves.

Pilsen Came From Behind To Grab Gold

Ruzinov was efficient in the first period. Despite the home side won it on shots on goal 14-5, it was the Slovak team who took the lead. Lucky bounce for Rimsky and a clever pass in behind defence was turned in by Danko.

The Pilseners knew they had to push harder to get back and an early equaliser only helped them to do so. After hitting the post twice, they finally scored right after the first break. They then decided in 20 seconds span later in the second period, when Prucha put them upfront and Jiri Benedikt sealed the lead with another one.

The Leaders tried to get back, but couldn’t get past great defence of the home team for most of the time. Prucha made it 4-1 final with his deke into backhand and a goal finish.
