The game schedule was split amongst two days. The whole event started with a round robin on Saturday – May 30th with nine games. Hostivař took the lead after three games played mainly thanks to a high amount of goals scored (8-1 win over Czech Republic Under-14s and 2-0 win over the hosts – HBC Plzeň). Since they tied the game with Gajary for the first place (2-2), they placed just above the Slovaks.

After the rest of group games were played on Sunday, the participants filled the blank spots in the play-offs table. Gajary and Hostivař went straight into the final game, as both of them were unbeaten after the group stage. Plzeň played Kladno for bronze and Great Britain Lions faced Czech Republic Under-14s for the fifth place.

The battle for fifth was a close one. Both teams played together in the morning so it was no wonder both of them managed to keep clean sheet after first half. The Czechs took the lead later in the second half, but the Lions levelled it again. However, the next strike of the Czechs from 23rd minute of the game remained unanswered till the end.

In case of Plzeň and Kladno, it was also second mutual encounter of those teams on Sunday. Štípek managed to score for the home side with just five minutes into the game and it seemed for a long time that this could be the game-winning goal. Votípka’s goal from 22nd minute made it 2-0, but Kladno fought right back. Stříbrný scored and gave his team a last bit of hope. Unfortunately for them, the score stayed the same until the final horn.

Then the much expected final game took place. Since both teams were the only ones who tied a game throughout the tournament, it could end with another dramatic battle. Hostivař scored an early goal, but Gajary answered and kept it 1-1 for the second half. Then the team from Prague maybe lost a bit of focus and was punished badly. The Slovaks scored two goals less than a minute apart and the game was almost over.

Hostivař changed goalies, but even Dostál conceded two goals after showing some great saves and the game had a one-sided result. L2Hockey Gajary Flames won the Pilsen Cup 2015 with a 5-1 victory over Hostivař in the final.
