There was a record-breaking amount of ten games to be played and lots of action to watch. Spišská Belá remained unbeaten in Under-15s as well as the West Coast Express in Under-17s. All of the matches seen tough battles but nothing will be settled until Sunday.

13.6.Pilsen Cup 2016 – Sunday: West Coast Express Takes Gold, Gajary Left With BronzeMarek KratochvílIt was a debut of West Coast Express at the Pilsen Cup this year and it was the best one they could hope for. The Canadians won all of their six games throughout the campaign to seize the gold. Home side got silver medals and improved one step after bronze last year. That went to former Champions from Gajary.
12.6.Pilsen Cup 2016 – Saturday: WCE Aiming For The Final With Big WinsMarek KratochvílTeam West Coast Express collected two 10-0 wins on Saturday and held perfect balance with 4 straight victories since their start on Friday. Pilsen is another candidate for a spot in Final game with three Saturday wins and the most important one against Gajary Flames (1-0).
11.6.Pilsen Cup 2016 – Friday: West Coast Express and Gajary took first winsMarek KratochvílThe opening day offered only two games. However, it gave the spectators plenty of reasons to look forward to next days with lots of nice moments and 11 goals scored. Gajary from Slovakia and West Coast Express from Canada managed to get their first wins leaving Plzeň and Blatná without points. Weiden and the Czech U14 team will enter the tournament tomorrow.
10.6.Pilsen Cup 2016 Will Take Place from 10th to 12th of JuneMarek KratochvílThe ball-hockey arena in Pilsen–Košutka will host another year of the traditional Pilsen Cup from 10th to 12th of June 2016. Six U-15 teams will compete in round robin system for their chance in the Sunday play-offs. Gajary are the current cup holders from last year.

Jag Sandhu came to Pilsen with the Canadian team West Coast Express, Raphael Mellinger captained the Oberwil Rebells.

Two games remained to be played, morning one for Bronze and the Final afternoon. Oberwil easy win over Kovo was followed by home side’s triumph over Bratislava in the Final.
13.2.Pilsen Challenge Day Two: Pilsen And Ruzinov Will Meet In Final, Express OutMarek KratochvílDay two closed round robin of this year’s Pilsen Challenge. Pilsen scored 21 goals on Saturday! Ruzinov lost to the home side 9-1, but will have a chance to do better again tomorrow as the Slovaks took the second Final spot. Kovo will join Oberwil in battle for third as Prague won over West Coast narrowly 3-2.
12.2.Pilsen Challenge Day One: Two Wins For Hosts, Ruzinov Second So FarMarek KratochvílFirst day of this year’s Pilsen Challenge offered five games in the Pilsen arena. Pilsen beat both Kovo and Oberwil, Ruzinov defeated West Coast Express after sharing a goalless draw with Kovo, leaving the Canadians without points before weekend.

Lot of Rebells-players will come to Pilsen in several times. But their coach Fabian Hofstetter have never been there. „It will be a pleasure for me to see the city and the ball hockey arena“, Hofstetter says.
10.2.Polak Will Lead Ruzinov As Playing CoachMarek KratochvílAfter two years, one of the best Slovak teams recently will return to Pilsen. Leaders Ruzinov Bratislava are set to compete under Frantisek Polak, who played already at the 2014 Pilsen Cup. Now, he will try to succeed in both roles, as a coach and as a player. “I try to prepare myself for Veterans’ Worlds in Canada, so I’m glad I will be able to play a top-level ball hockey”, he said before taking the road to Pilsen.
10.2.Gary Slavin: Hope Of Taking Home Medal Is In Our ViewMarek KratochvílGary Slavin will bring the West Coast Express to the Czech Republic for Pilsen Challenge once again. Last year, the team struggled and finished last. "We have added a few extra players this trip and hope not to run into injury issues again," Slavin hopes.

8.5.Three straight wins send Pilsen into semiMarek KratochvílQuarterfinal series between Pilsen and Elba DDM Ústí nad Labem wasn’t as even as the results may seem. After first clear 4-1 win at home, the Marlins won a tough second game in OT and added a narrow 1-0 victory away from home to seal their semi-final spot.

The Slovaks will be represented by HbK HOKEJMARKET Skalica, currently 3rd team in its domestic league.
